It's Christmas Season in Panama and decorations are everywhere; homes, offices, streets, schools! The Panama Municipality has made its mission to beautify the Capital City following this year’s slogan “Christmas Shines” (Brilla la Navidad). There are parades in the towns celebrating the season and lights, lot and lots of lights. There are nine place throughout the Panama City where Christmas lights and trees can be admired, they are; the Coastal Strip; Urraca Park, Cathedral Square, Plaza V Centenario, Mi Pueblito Interiorano Tourist Center, Heliodoro Patiño Park in Juan Diaz, Via Argentina and Andres Bello Park.
The Andres Bello Park will have snow storms to get folks in the Christmas Spirit Monday to Sunday at 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. The decorations will be lit with LED technology, which has low energy consumption. There will be 1,830,000 light bulbs, with 47,000 meters of cable, illuminating 2,200 figures and 750 LED strobe light bulbs.
On Sunday December 18th, more than 40 actors will reenact the birth of Jesus. There will be carol singing and many surprises. Entrance to Mi Pueblito will be free during the Christmas season.
On Sunday, December 25, a Christmas Concert will take place to celebrate the birth of Baby Jesus, at the “Mirador del Pacifico” of the Coastal Strip from 4:30 p.m. with a show for the whole family, with more than 40 musicians on stage and ten national artistes such as Manuel Corredera, Emilio Regueira, Karen Peralta, Iván Barrios, Brenda Lau, Gaby Gnazzo, Grettel Garibaldi singing carols.

The Panama Municipality will present the show “Christmas with You” (Navidad Contigo) which seeks to reach communities and give children gifts util January 6. (El Visitante)
